  • Becoming a member, requires making an annual contribution to MartinArts. MartinArts Council is a 501(c)3 organization and by becoming a member, you are a helping to make the arts a part of the fabric of our lives in Martin County. Membership renews on your anniversary date annually and is available at several levels, including a discounted membership for artists and students.

  • The Artist's Registry is a benefit of membership for artists - visual and performing alike. The on-line artists' registry features images of our artists and all pertinent contact information. To be a part of the registry, become a member and note on the form that you are an artist. A subsequent form will be sent to you asking for details about the type of artist you are and has instructions about sending files for posting on the site.

  • Is the Court House Cultural Center handicap accessible?

    Yes, MartinArts and its galleries at 80 SE Ocean Blvd are accessible to all. The south entrance is wheelchair accessible as are all spaces within the first floor. We are pleased to try to accommodate other reasonable requests from patrons needing additional assistance with adequate notice. We offer assisted listening devices to our patrons who have difficulties hearing our talks and lectures. Just ask at the welcome desk.

  • Does MartinArts have a policy about diversity, equity and inclusion?

    Yes, we do. And it was update on 4/27/2021 by the Board of Directors. MartinArts values and celebrates the unique qualities of persons with diverse backgrounds and cultures. It is believed that inclusiveness adds to the organizational excellence when tapping the skills, talents, and resources of people of diversity. MartinArts will actively promote respect for persons of different race, creed, color, religion, age, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, education, economic position, and ancestry. MartinArts will uphold the fundamental directives of equality and access to the arts for all. 

  • MartinArts does not have any re-granting funds. However, through our partnership with the MartinArts Foundation and Women Supporting the Arts, there are grants available for local organizations and artists. The form and guidelines for the Women Supporting the Arts Grant can be found here.

  • Many of the galleries, organizations and artist members of MartinArts offer lessons and are excited about sharing their expertise. On the

    MartinArts offers several opportunities every year for visual artists to exhibit. For festival artists and musicians, ArtsFest is a terrific community opportunity. For visual artists, the Court House Cultural Center Gallery offers a variety of options for getting involved, including juried exhibitions and special exhibitions.

  • The Cultural Calendar is the most up to date information that organizations have provided to us for publication. MartinArts also produces other special events throughout the year, including exhibitions at the Court House Cultural Center Galleries and in the community, such as ArtsFest.

  • Where does MartinArts get the funding to offer programs to the community?

    Funding is secured annually from Martin County, the State of Florida, the Lawrence A Sanders Foundation, private donors, our members, grants, and through the MartinArts Foundation which takes the lead in funding raising including signature events ArtsFest the mARTies Awards. Funding provides support for programs, for managing the Court House Cultural Center, and allowing us to publish the MartinArts magazine and this website for your benefit, making us the primary source for arts information in the community.

  • What is MartinArts policy on public disclosure?

    The Form 990 and 501(c)3 determination letter from the IRS are available to the public upon request. Generally, requestors are directed to the website as it is our policy to have the 990 for the most recently completed year (not including schedule B), our 501(c)3 letter in addition to the Board’s conflict of interest policy in Adobe format available electronically. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable copying fee plus actual postage for multiple copies requested from the same individuals or related group of individuals. Other documents are available by request. Board agenda packets are posted with the calendar listing.
